Job Description
The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison client to hire a Data Test Engineer. This is a one year contract-to-hire opportunity.
The Data Test Engineer will play an integral role in ensuring the quality and reliability of data infrastructure, user interfaces and services. This position has a primary focus of validating various data and requires attention to detail, an analytical mindset and the ability to design and implement testing procedures.
Location: Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid). Must be currently located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area.
Comp: $60-64/hr.
Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities include:
- Create and design automated data test scenarios based on system specifications
- Develop testing scripts using environment appropriate tools to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Develop automated testing strategies and provide feedback in analysis, design, implementation and execution phases
- Investigate data quality defects and manage documentation
- Maintain accurate test documentation related to test cases, data and test results
- Communicate best data practices across various teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with automated unit and integration testing
- Knowledge in Python and AWS Glue/Lamda
- Understanding and previous use of SQL for data validation, analysis and testing automation
- Direct experience with Git (GitHub, Gitlab pipeines) and Jenkins
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and experience with front end and back end testing
