Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a Direct Hire Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance team at a local food manufacturing business. The continued growth of our business requires a dedicated and proven leader who can work collaboratively across departments. This key leadership role will be instrumental in building, transforming, and guiding a high-performing team while implementing best practices that support operational excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Management in an industrial setting.
- Hours: 1st shift Hours
- Pay: Up to $130,000/yr plus eligible for annual incentive bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Safety-first culture, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, USDA, and local regulations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians.
- Establish and maintain a robust maintenance system framework that drives performance improvements.
- Develop and optimize predictive, planned, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement and drive OEE enhancements.
- Implement and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS
- Manage maintenance budgets in alignment with plant financial goals.
- Support compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
- Partner with Corporate Engineering to identify capital equipment needs and contribute expertise to new initiatives.
- Ensure consistent communication and policy enforcement across all shifts.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area through 5S and housekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Maintenance Management, Facilities Management, or related field experience.
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
- Basic knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
- Experience with internal and external customers and local contractors.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suites.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems (Emaint or SAP preferred) or similar software experience.
