Summary
 
We are seeking a Project Manager for a one-year contract position for our client located in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Project Manager, you will lead critical, high-impact IT and business projects, including those related to systems implementation.
 
Location: Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid). Must be currently located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. 
 
Comp: Hourly pay of $35-36 per hour.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. 
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management. 
  • Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and clear communication. 
  • Identify and resolve project blockers, escalating issues proactively to maintain momentum. 
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, ensuring financial accountability. 
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve processes.
 
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. 
  • Experience managing large-scale and smaller projects in dynamic environments. 
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SDLC). 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level interaction. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with budget tracking, cost control, and related reporting. 
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.
