Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager for a one-year contract position for our client located in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Project Manager, you will lead critical, high-impact IT and business projects, including those related to systems implementation.
Location: Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid). Must be currently located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area.
Comp: Hourly pay of $35-36 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and clear communication.
- Identify and resolve project blockers, escalating issues proactively to maintain momentum.
- Monitor and report on budget performance, ensuring financial accountability.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve processes.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- Experience managing large-scale and smaller projects in dynamic environments.
- Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SDLC).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level interaction.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
- Familiarity with budget tracking, cost control, and related reporting.
- PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
