Job Description
Summary:
The QTI Group has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the agricultural industry for DIRECT HIRE openings for Press Operators. These positions involve operating large coil-fed presses and milling equipment to produce precision metal components. Ideal candidates will have prior press operation experience, be mechanically inclined and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Compensation:
- $24–$26/hour, based on experience
- Full benefits package available
Responsibilities:
- Operate, set up, and troubleshoot heavy metal presses and milling machines
- Load coil, strip, or blanks and adjust forming press/straightener to meet specifications
- Perform manual mill operations and replace milling heads
- Inspect parts and remove non-conforming materials
- Conduct routine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Prior machine operation experience required
- Experience working in metal manufacturing strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Basic math and computer skills
