Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QC Laboratory Technician to join a growing quality control team, supporting quality operations across two local facilities. The QC Laboratory Technician plays a key role in testing raw materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with food and feed safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work, problem-solving, and contributing to a team focused on quality and consistency.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Pay: $23 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis following standard operating procedures
- Collect and evaluate samples of raw materials and finished products to determine quality and readiness for use or shipment
- Maintain accurate documentation for all testing, including certificates and safety data sheets
- Support daily HACCP monitoring and work with production staff to maintain cleanliness and compliance
- Verify medication inventory and ensure accuracy of records
- Coordinate with independent labs for external testing and maintain associated reports
- Assist with customer inquiries and maintain product specifications and documentation
- Participate in product development by preparing lab samples and test batches
- Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines, including GMP and HACCP standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the quality control team
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Drivers License as travel between plants is required via use of own personal vehicle.
- Prior experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or food/feed production environment strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in production environments as needed
