The QTI Group has partnered with an established healthcare provider to help with the recruiting efforts as they look to add a technical and analytical leader to join their growing Data Warehouse Department as a Data Analyst. The primary focus of this position is to assist in the development, maintenance and support of high-priority governmental and regulatory data that feeds out of the enterprise data warehouse and corresponding data marts. This individual will work full-time from their office in Madison, WI.   • Complete full life cycle of moderate to complex data development to address business needs or resolve issues:
    • Review Business Requirements
    • Write Source to Target documentation
    • Test ETL processes
  • Complete moderate to complex analyses and resolve issues as assigned
    • Suggest root causes of issues and review with senior analysts
    • Define and implement remediation under tight deadlines
  • Work with vendors and moderate complex feeds, as necessary, to establish new or maintain existing feeds and relationships.
    • Meet expectations of governmental vendors for delivery of data within established deadlines
  • Serve as a steward of the data warehouse
    • Understand the business processes and rules that create the data including claims, enrollment, billing, etc. and work with the subject matter experts in those areas to ensure they understand and can leverage their data as needed.
    • Always strive for the highest quality of data in all work products.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, however relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience analyzing or querying data in a professional data warehouse setting.
  • Health insurance experience is preferred – specifically in an analytical role related to claims, enrollment or pharmacy data sets
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL, analytical software and personal computers
  • Intermediate knowledge of data warehousing principles including provenance, lineage, modelling, etc. and applies best practices along with modern data architecture principles including the enforcement of data policies and access controls
  • Experience working on high-priority, deadline-driven projects and needs simultaneously.
  • Ability to problem solve using analytical skills.
  • Works well independently – must be inquisitive and seek answers to complex questions without being prompted.
  • Ability to develop rapport with end users, co-workers and third-party vendors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
