The National Credit Union Foundation is recruiting for an Education Program Design Manager with QTI Executive & Professional Search.

The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) is excited to announce a newly created opening for an Education Program Design Manager to help advance the Foundation’s mission of improving people’s lives through credit unions. This integral role will report to the Director of Development Education & Cooperative Culture and will be responsible for designing and delivering educational workshops to leaders in the credit union industry across the United States.


  • Delivering education programs that help donors and key stakeholders to understand and incorporate cooperative values into their business. Some domestic travel will be required. This will include reinforcing learner objectives within established programs, enhancing existing curriculum, and developing new curriculum and resources that align with the Foundation’s strategic objectives.
  • Leading efforts to create a train-the-trainer model that can be implemented within organizations to allow for the strategic and sustainable growth of Foundation programming. This may include the development of additional resources that promote self-learning post engagement and incorporating best practices for developing employees to increase performance and retention.
  • Planning and executing on engagement and education-focused events that support Foundation programs and business. Evaluate and implement new education models, resources and technology. Act as an education and learning consultant for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of Foundation educational and experiential training. Recommend and apply systems and benchmarks that help to track the outcomes and impact of Foundation programs.
  • Representing the Foundation as a subject matter expert and presenter at industry events. Manager is expected to have comprehensive knowledge of the Foundation’s pillars of work.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


  • Five or more years of experience in adult learning, employee training and development, program instruction and facilitation, instructional design or other related fields;
  • A commitment to the mission and values of the Foundation. Experience within the credit union industry is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent level of education.
  • High level of emotional intelligence with a proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and apply cognitive flexibility when faced with multiple, time-sensitive priorities;
  • Ability to travel approximately 25 to 50 days per year.
  • A collaborative and flexible style with a strong service mentality;
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically.
  • A highly effective communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and quality standards.
