Summary:
The QTI Group has partnered with a diversified communications company and it's subsidiaries to help with their efforts in recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This position will work with other business application team members and key stakeholders who are responsible for enhancing our existing suite of business applications, as well as the development and implementation of new software and integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build highly reliable, mission critical business applications. Develop customizations and interface to other applications.
  • Take minimal design specifications and complete projects with consistent quality.
  • Develop and maintain effective automated unit test coverage of new and existing code.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine needs and documenting the requirements of new and existing features.
  • Design and build analytical reports using several different reporting platforms while keeping a consistent UX environment.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems development an associated process support.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in a business environment; experience must include software engineering experience with both the Microsoft solution stack and modern Open Source frameworks and libraries.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.
Other Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented design and solutions development in the .NET framework including ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, jquery and bootstrap.
  • Experience designing and developing C#, JavaScript and SQL based queries and analytics.
  • Experience with modern version control systems principles and tools (Git, Azure Devops).
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, continuous Integration, continuous delivery).
  • Experience in API design and implementation (SOAP / REST).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of testing, building and deploying applications.
  • Familiarity with current development methodologies such as Agile, Lean, etc.
  • Experience developing system integrations.
  • Interest in exploring and utilizing new technologies and platforms.
