Reimagining our PEO
Excerpt from the September 2020 PEO Insider Article
To say 2020 has been an unusual year would be an understatement! Reflecting on our 2020 strategic planning, we envisioned a year of growth: new opportunities, new partnerships, and an expansion of our products and services. Then COVID-19 hit. Instead of forward thinking, we were forced to quickly pivot and navigate new waters by assisting with quarantines, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, state health orders, furloughs/layoffs, and new unemployment challenges—all while interpreting new and ever-changing government policies.
As with all challenges, there can be a silver lining if you look for it. Once we weathered the initial tsunami and could see through the COVID-19 waters, we paused to reimagine our PEO by focusing on a few key questions:
- What have we learned during these uncertain times?
- What do businesses need now that they didn’t before and how can we adapt to meet these needs?
- What does the future of work look like and how will that impact our business and our clients?
