Summary:
The QTI Group has partnered with a food manufacturer seeking an Inventory Control Manager to join their team in Portage, WI. We are currently searching for a qualified candidate to fill a leadership role in our warehouse operations. The selected candidate will oversee and manage various aspects of inventory control and warehouse operations in this position. Some responsibilities include maintaining accurate counts of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging, proposing inventory adjustments, and conducting analyses. The role also involves training users on the Parity system for precise inventory management, communicating with the Director of Supply Chain for improvement suggestions, and efficiently managing off-site storage inventory levels.

This is an onsite Direct-Hire opportunity with competitive benefits and pays up to $100k/yr. based on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accuracy of raw material, finished goods, and packaging counts.
  • Propose inventory adjustments for reconciliation and conduct analysis.
  • Train Parity system users for precise inventory management.
  • Communicate with the Director of Supply Chain for improvement suggestions.
  • Efficiently manage off-site storage inventory levels.
  • Promptly dispose of obsolete inventory with proper documentation.
  • Communicate and train runners on daily material cycle counting.
  • Oversee and train department personnel.
  • Implement FIFO and allergen storage for inventory rotation.
  • Ensure physical inventory alignment with the operating system.
  • Manage adequate pallet inventories for production and shipping.
  • Coordinate empty dressing tote pickups.
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment with clear aisles.
  • Notify the Production Manager of low product inventory.
  • Supervise and train receiving department personnel.
  • Upload trucks, transfer products, and inspect for quantity and quality.
  • Review for deficiencies or breakages before receiving.
  • Record merchandise discrepancies and notify the purchasing agent.
  • Assist with product movement, stock placement, and rotation.
  • Coordinate and compile materials/ingredients for the production team.
  • Identify and follow up on products on hold.
  • Maintain an orderly workspace for efficient product movement.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety procedures and report dangerous conditions.
  • Schedule, train, and recertify forklift and power lift licenses.
  • Train designated employees as backups.
  • Perform other assigned duties to support team goals.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisor, or management position.
  • 6 months of related warehouse experience in a food manufacturer is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and work in a temperature-controlled environment (as cold as -10F degrees) is required.
  • Experience with inventory software Parity is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related technology.
  • Intermediate math, counting, and numerical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand a Production Schedule and related documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including training of staff.
