The QTI Group is recruiting for 2nd Shift Supervisor Assistant for a well-known manufacturing company in Reedsburg. . The ideal candidate will have a solid work history and have the ability to manage detailed and very physical work in a fast-paced environment. 2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 1:00pm-9:30pm
Pay: $23.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate departmental functions including scheduling, communicating work instructions, deploying personnel, inspecting completed tasks, and ensuring availability of required raw materials and supplies
- Ensure that proper safety and quality practices are being observed by department personnel
- Train and schedule sufficient personnel to meet department schedules
- Recommend personnel actions to the department supervisor about departmental performance, disciplinary action, compensation, staffing, or other personnel issues that may arise.
- Collect and record pertinent data and enter in appropriate file or database
- Notify supervisor and other departments, as necessary, of quality, mechanical, delay or personnel problems and take corrective action within scope of responsibility
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
- High school diploma or equivalent with over three months experience preferred
- Requires decimals and fractions, drawings and formulas, adjustable measuring instruments.
- Some judgement to comply with instructions, follow methods, make minor decisions with continuous mental or visual attention.
- Moderate physical exertion. Able to lift 50 pounds. Physical movement includes repetitive motion, with twisting, bending, and standing most of the shift.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
