Our client is an award-winning, nine-person design firm recognized for creative, client-focused work in food & beverage, business environments, university spaces, and single-family residential projects. They are growing and looking for an Interior Designer to join the team. This position is ideal for someone who loves concept development, thrives on collaboration, and enjoys working across both high-end residential and commercial environments.
As an Interior Designer here, you’ll have a hand in every part of the project lifecycle—concept development, material and product research, graphics, SketchUp presentations, team design development, and direct contractor and client interaction. You’ll coordinate project work and submittals with consultants, manage finish and furniture selections, prepare construction drawings and specifications, review shop drawings, and assist with presentations and occasional procurement.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position. Start times are flexible between 7:30–9:00 a.m., with an expectation to work 8–9 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Salary starts at $55K+/yr., based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and design solutions for commercial and high-end residential projects.
- Prepare materials, graphics, and SketchUp presentations.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors on project deliverables and submittals.
- Create and review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Select finishes, furniture, and materials with attention to detail and budget.
- Participate in team design development and client presentations.
- Manage workflow and deadlines in a flexible, self-directed environment.
Qualifications
- Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required.
- 3+ years of professional interior design experience, ideally with exposure to high-end residential or detailed commercial projects.
- Proficiency in SketchUp with a strong portfolio of concept and visualization work.
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM (used for 90% of project documentation).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture 2025
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.
- Solid design talent with an eye for innovative, detail-oriented solutions.
- Strong attention to accuracy, organization, and follow-through in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage client and consultant interactions confidently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- NCIDQ certification preferred but not required.
