The QTI Group has been retained by a family-owned manufacturing organization in Mineral Point to recruit its next Manufacturing Engineer. This role with play a key piece in the design and production process of custom-engineered products, mainly tooling and fixtures, and also assist in the troubleshooting and maintenance of all machinery and equipment on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and fabricate tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing process
- Develop conceptual models and fabricate prototypes used for testing
- Create and edit drawings in 2D and 3D programs
- Collaborate with other engineering staff to manage production projects
- Assist with performing set-ups, calibrations, and testing of machinery and fixtures
- Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair for all manufacturing equipment
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or related field
- Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Prior professional experience related to machining, metal fabrication, tool and die making and more
- Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
