Summary
The QTI Group is partnering with a client in Racine to hire its next Payroll and Benefits Specialist. This is a direct hire opportunity to be part of a fun and dynamic HR team that supports ~300 full-time employees.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will carry out regular payroll processing and benefits administration while serving as the UKG HRIS subject matter expert. This role is part of a fast-growing small business; therefore, you must thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment!

Location: On-site in Racine, Wisconsin.

Compensation: $65,000-80,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits package!

Responsibilities
  • Carry out biweekly payroll processing in UKG, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Process payroll transactions related to promotions, transfers, new hires, wage adjustments, garnishments, terminations, and benefit deductions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in UKG and its related payroll and benefits modules; optimize UKG capabilities.
  • Manage reporting out of UKG.
  • Administer benefits, including communicating benefit information to employees, processing enrollment and status changes, leave administration, and maintaining employee files.
  • Assist in coordinating employee recognition programs and other employee engagement initiatives.
  • Other HR responsibilities, as cross-trained within the HR department, could include participating in career fairs, ensuring compliance on HR-related matters (ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.), processing background checks, and maintaining HR-related records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all payroll, medical, benefit and employee-related information.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with payroll, benefits and leave administration.
  • Demonstrated experience administering payroll and benefits within HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
  • Pride in accuracy and providing premier customer service to employees.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels, as well as outside vendors and benefits carriers.
