Summary:

The QTI Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire an Industrial Controls Technician. This role is essential to ensure the reliability and performance of production and facility equipment. If you're passionate about automation, electrical systems, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.

Responsibilities

Perform emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance on equipment including CNC machines, robotics, control systems, and more.
Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs and HMI screens.
Work with voltages from 5 VAC to 600 VAC.
Maintain and update control and electrical drawings.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
Operate tools and machines such as electrical meters, welders, forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes.
Assist in equipment setup, design, fabrication, and relocation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards including Lock Out Tag Out, Arc Flash Prevention, and Hazardous Material Handling.

Qualifications

Degree in Automation, Robotics, controls, electrical or engineering or equivalent industrial controls experience
Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot complex PLC programs and HMI programs and read electrical schematics.
Must have ability read and interpret prints, schematics, operations manuals, engineering specifications, and manufacturer’s instructions
Strong communication and basic math skills
OSHA and NFPA 70E Certification preferred
