Job Description
Summary:
The QTI Group is seeking a Direct Hire Quality Technician for our client in the Waupaca area. The ideal candidate will perform any number of tasks relating to the inspection and measurement of in-process and finished goods to ensure they meet our Internal Quality Standards as well as Customer’s Quality Standards. This client is open to a candidate for 1st or 2nd shift for this opening.
- Hours:
- First Shift Hours: 7am-3:30pm M-F
- Second Shift Hours: 3pm-1am M-Th or 2pm-Midnight M-Th
- Pay: $23-33/hr depending on experience. 2nd shift offers an additional $3.00/hr Shift premium
Responsibilities:
- Utilize blueprints and other customer-supplied documents to check conformity of product to geometric dimensioning and tolerances
- Perform inspection of set-up, in process, and final piece parts
- Gather SPC data and determine process capability
- Maintain all fixtures and tooling in the QC Department
- Responsible for source inspection and customer audits
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in the Quality Field as a Technician, Inspector, SPC Coordinator, or Quality Lead Person.
- Machining experience is a plus
- Proficiency in: Microsoft Office, Mechanical Inspection, Blueprint reading (GD&T), SPC data, CAD Software, Gauge Calibration, Military Standards, Machining knowledge, Visual Comparators, CMM.
