The QTI Group is partnering with a growing contract manufacturer in the Sun Prairie to hire their next Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting and be skilled in PCB design. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with multiple engineering departments to produce electronic designs and manufacturing solutions for a wide variety of clients for industrial, medical and commercial applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and prototype electronic hardware as defined by customer requirements and in-house production needs
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, cable drawings for engineered-to-order products
- Operate within Altium PCB design software to create and edit engineering drawings
- Collaborate with other engineering departments to ensure designs meet manufacturing standards and size/power requirements
- Create testing and verification procedures for finished products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering required
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, contract manufacturing background desired
- Proficiency in Altium PCB design software, PLC experience desired
- Experience working across engineering teams, coordinating with manufacturing teams
