Summary
The QTI Group is partnering with a Wisconsin-based organization to hire an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support production plant operations in Richland Center, Wisconsin. With a focus on labor relations and employee relations, the HRBP will provide guidance to managers in the effective application of collective bargaining agreements and company policies.

Labor Relations
  • Help prepare for each Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) contract renewal, gathering data and giving recommendations during the negotiation process.
  • Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements and non-union work agreements.
  • Represent the company in handling grievance and arbitration matters; coordinate strike contingency planning.

Employee Relations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to respond to employee concerns and provide guidance to managers to ensure constructive dialogue to resolve conflicts.
  • Drive employee engagement through execution of programs to enhance employee morale and talent development.
  • Investigate root causes or employee relations matters and develop strategies to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and promote collaboration between employees and managers.

Talent Management
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the plant leaders to support programs for front line leader development and employee development, retention, and performance management, including onboarding, career development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with HR and Operations leaders to forecast and plan for future staffing needs.
  • Analyze turnover, identify trends, and offer suggestions to enhance the employee journey and boost retention rates.

Business Partnership
  • Contribute to departmental goal-setting and implementation, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with overall company goals.
  • Foster transparent communication between HR and plant leaders to ensure awareness of upcoming HR initiatives and addressing employee or labor issues.
  • Coach plant leaders on key HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote employee engagement and growth.
  • Support projects aimed at optimizing roles and processes to enhance efficiency and adaptability to shifting business needs and culture evolution

Travel: Occasional travel to corporate office in Madison and visits to plants across Wisconsin and Michigan.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of HR with 3+ of those years in a Generalist or Business Partner capacity
  • Labor relations experience, specifically with collective bargaining agreements, strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in coaching and advising leaders in employee and labor relations matters.
  • Skilled in talent management, including performance management and career development strategies.
  • Experience facilitating group sessions such as training, new employee orientation, etc.
  • Experience assessing and implementing HRIS systems is desired; UKG experience is a plus!
  • Serve as a cultural champion by building trust through clear communication, conflict resolution, and follow-through.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for other HR-related matters such as benefits, recruitment, payroll, etc. (but these are handled by centralized centers of excellence).
  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business or related field preferred.
