Summary:
Join a growing mortgage team as a Consumer Direct Manager, where you'll lead and mentor a team of entry-level Loan Officers focused on converting warm, inbound leads. This is a great opportunity for a collaborative, results-oriented leader with experience in residential lending and a passion for coaching new talent. You'll play a critical role in shaping the next generation of Loan Officers while driving production and maintaining service excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of Consumer Direct Loan Officers in a high-volume, lead-based environment
- Coach, train, and provide feedback to drive performance, efficiency, and sales growth
- Oversee daily sales activities and adherence to key metrics
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of new Loan Officers (many new to the industry)
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, processing, and leadership to meet service and pull-through goals
- Track and report on production, team performance, and pipeline activity
- Stay current on lending regulations and promote best practices for compliance and customer experience
- Contribute to branch strategy, lead generation initiatives, and market expansion efforts
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in residential lending, mortgage sales, or loan origination
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, and other mortgage programs
- Experience managing teams in a call center or high-volume sales environment highly desired
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills
- NMLS license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Collaborative and adaptable leadership style, with a focus on metrics and outcomes
