Job Description

The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison-based manufacturing client to hire their next Engineering & Manufacturing Specialist. This role will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of 2D and 3D engineering drawings as well as providing production and quality assurance support. This is a great role for someone with 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting and will play an integral role in ensuring the highest quality of product drawing, documentation and ERP system management.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain 2D and 3D CAD files for molds, tooling, parts and complex assemblies
  • Accurately manage and maintain engineering data within the company ERP system (Odoo), including creating BOMs and other technical drawings
  • Serve as a technical reference between the engineering, sales and production teams, resolving any production issues or design specifications
  • Complete First Article Inspection and make any modifications in CAD programs
  • Conduct root cause analysis on component and process failures

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with experience in design and ERP system management
  • 3+ years of experience in a design-specific role, with skills in both 2D and 3D design (CAD and SolidWorks)
  • Experience operating precise measuring equipment and understanding of various manufacturing processes
