Job Description
Summary
This Maintenance Assistant role supports daily building and equipment upkeep while helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Pay is based on experience, and the position works day shift hours, Monday through Friday. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and variety from day to day. The Maintenance Assistant plays an important part in responding to minor repairs, supporting maintenance projects, and ensuring safety standards are followed.
- Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, could start earlier.
- Pay: $20.00-28.00/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Address minor building and equipment maintenance issues
- Perform maintenance-related errands, including transporting parts and supplies
- Inspect work areas and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required
- Prioritize tasks based on operational needs
- Read and follow basic electrical and mechanical drawings
- Support general maintenance tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic tools
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to lift up to seventy-five pounds
- Ability to follow safety and quality guidelines consistently
