Summary:
Full‑time outside sales opportunity in the industrial/wholesale products and services sector, serving an established Madison‑area territory with significant built‑in business. This role offers a mix of field sales, customer visits, and occasional onsite support across a broad range of commercial and industrial clients. Typical schedule runs Monday–Friday with flexibility based on customer needs. Compensation includes base salary plus uncapped commission, with total earnings commonly ranging from ~$75K+ depending on experience and territory performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships across a diverse territory.
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business by identifying new opportunities and providing consultative support.
  • Conduct onsite visits to understand customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend products or repair services.
  • Present technical products and solutions to decision‑makers at all levels.
  • Collaborate closely with inside sales, repair teams, and technical staff to support customer requests and ensure high‑quality service.
  • Maintain organized customer files and manage personal scheduling to meet customer demand efficiently.
  • Stay current on pricing, industry trends, and product knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Represent the organization professionally during customer tours, field visits, and occasional off‑hours calls.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
  • 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience; industrial or technical sales strongly preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical aptitude; familiarity with power transmission is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales territory independently.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and navigate a flexible schedule.
  • Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
