Job Description

Summary:
This Direct Hire Metal Fabricator & Welder role offers strong hourly pay and a four-day workweek. This position focuses on hands-on fabrication and welding work in a production environment where quality, craftsmanship, and consistency are essential. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, be capable of working independently, and take pride in producing high-quality finished products while maintaining production goals.
 
  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm
  • Pay: $24.00-$30.00/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG and flux core welding on mild steel and stainless steel
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Accurately measure, lay out, square, fit, tack, and prepare assemblies for welding.
  • Perform MIG and  FCAW using proper welding techniques and machine settings.
  • Consistently produce high-quality welds that meet company and customer specifications.
  • Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy, fit-up quality, and weld integrity prior to quality control review.
  • Identify and correct weld defects, fit-up issues, and dimensional discrepancies.
  • Cut, drill, grind, bevel, and prepare materials with minimal supervision.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, press equipment, plasma cutting equipment, cranes, and hoists.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.

Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of metal fabrication and welding experience required.
  • Proficiency with MIG and Flux Core welding processes.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Experience measuring, fitting, squaring, and laying out fabricated components.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, plasma cutters, and press equipment.
  • Experience safely using cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of welding quality standards and inspection techniques.
