Job Description
Summary
Direct hire opportunity for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Technician at an educational facility! This role is ideal for someone who likes hands-on work and takes pride in keeping a building operating smoothly. You will handle a variety of maintenance tasks, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system care, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and general building and grounds upkeep. Candidates with 1-2 years or more experience in relevant areas are encouraged to apply!
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- No on-call scheduling
- Voluntary overtime
Compensation
- $20-$23/hour
- Full benefits available
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Complete basic repairs involving electrical fixtures, lighting, plumbing, and structural components
- Maintain the on-site pool, including cleaning and monitoring chemical levels
- Support set up and tear down for school events
- Inspect building spaces and report repair needs or safety concerns
- Use hand tools and power tools for general maintenance tasks
- Assist with larger seasonal projects during the summer months
Qualifications
- Prior experience with building maintenance, groundskeeping, HVAC, electrical work, and plumbing preferred
- Possess a valid state-issued driver license
- Be able to perform tasks that involve lifting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, carrying, and similar physical activities
- Communicate clearly in writing and in person
