Job Description
DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic on 1st shift! Join the team of a local transportation and warehousing company maintaining a diverse fleet of trucks, heavy equipment, and tractor-trailers. Ideal candidates will have experience with International and Freightliner models.
Compensation:
- $25+/hour, based on experience level
- Full benefits package
- Annual boot and tool reimbursement program
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Voluntary overtime available on the weekend
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair vehicles such as trucks, heavy equipment, and tractor-trailers
- Plan and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
- Perform diagnostic tests and evaluate vehicle parts and systems to identify issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic
- Experience working on International and Freightliner models preferred
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests and repairs on a wide range of vehicle systems and components
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
