Job Description
Summary:
Direct hire opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic! This is a 1st shift position with built in overtime! A local transportation and warehousing company is seeking a mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles. Ideal candidates will have experiencing working International and Freightliner models. Pay starts at $25+/hour, with consideration of experience level. Full benefits offered along with annual boot and tool reimbursement program.
Schedule options:
- Tuesday – Saturday
- Sunday – Thursday
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair vehicles such as trucks, heavy equipment and tractor-trailers
- Plan and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks
- Test and evaluate vehicle parts and systems and identify issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic
- Experience working on International and Freightliner models preferred
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests and repairs on a wide range of vehicle systems and components
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
