Job Description
The QTI Group is excited to partner with a Madison-based scientific company to hire their next Lab Coordinator. This role will perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks that support the operations of company laboratories, offices and customer support functions. This role oversees lab and office inventory management, equipment maintenance and will assist with customer support and order fulfillment when needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
- Handle incoming orders and order processing
- Manage shipping and tracking of customer orders, as well as internal inventory
- Work with external vendors to maintain lab equipment or other facilities or systems needs
- Organize laboratory inventory and ensure overall lab operations are organized and neat
- Work with leaders to facilitate customer inquiries and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field required
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment is required, preferably in the biotechnology industry
- Strong knowledge and understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment and safety tools/protocols
- Experience working with external vendors to support lab operations
- Must have strong skills in technology/laboratory systems, including Excel and the use of various shipping software
