Job Description
Summary
The QTI Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift for a well‑established metal manufacturing facility. This DIRECT HIRE role is ideal for candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who can support maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC systems in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Schedule
- Sunday – Thursday
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Compensation
- $32–$38/hour, based on experience
- Additional on‑call compensation
- Full benefits available
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and facility issues, including complex electrical problems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and PM procedures
- Log maintenance activities using computer systems and maintain accurate records
- Install and troubleshoot new equipment
- Independently solve complex facility and emergency maintenance issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with technicians, engineering, and supervisors to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Qualifications
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including motors, controls, wiring, sensors, and basic PLC diagnostics
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, PM procedures, and technical instructions
- Computer proficiency for logging maintenance activities and using maintenance systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining safety, quality, and 5S standards
