Job Description
Summary:
A steel fabricating company is looking for an Estimator to join their team. In this position candidates would be responsible for evaluating bid specifications, requirements, and material take offs to prepare a complete estimate. This Direct Hire position offers a 1st Shift Schedule with pay consideration starts at 55k and also includes a competitive benefits package and profit sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret job bid requirements, blueprints and specs to prepare estimates
- Prepare and all inclusive material take offs and identify labor and buy out items
- Prepare directive and request quotes for subcontractors and suppliers to compile accurate pricing
- Maintain consistent with other departments and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 1 year of field experience
- Estimating experience and structural steel knowledge
- Experience using FabSuite and Tekla EPM
- Strong math skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills
