Job Description
The QTI Group has partnered with a client in the greater Madison area to hire its next Mechanical Designer. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience operating within various design systems in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, creating both 2D and 3D drawings.
Responsibilities
- Operate within design software to assist with drawings and designs supporting multiple engineering departments
- Work closely with customers to design and develop modifications of existing products
- Produce proposal drawings, certified drawings and additional technical support documentation
- Assist with BOM creation, part number creation and other projects
Qualifications
- 2-year degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD software, experience in both 2D and 3D modeling desired
- Experience working within Microsoft Office and ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving and resolution skills
