Job Description
The QTI Group is excited to partner with a growing manufacturing organization as they look to bring on a veteran Production Manager for a 10-16 month assignment. This role will oversee end-to-end production operations, lead a dedicated team of production associates, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in manufacturing environments and the ability to optimize workflows, scheduling, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Work with Operations team to plan and coordinate daily production schedules, including machine maintenance schedules
- Manage non-conforming parts, rework, and ensure final product quality
- Use ERP systems to schedule, track, and complete manufacturing orders
- Collaborate with materials management team to ensure proper material levels are on-site to meet various production projects
- Analyze production flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and assist in developing new policies
- Oversee first article inspections and establish quality control checkpoints
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot parts, processes, and equipmentSupport implementation of new products and processes
- Conduct employee evaluations, provide feedback, and coordinate training
Qualifications
- 20+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing operation
- Strong coaching or mentorship background and a clear track record of overseeing teams and promoting/developing internal talent
- Familiarity with machine shop practices, tolerances, and production processes
- Strong dependability, communication, and team-oriented mindset
- ISO experience is a plus
