The QTI Group is proud to partner with WPS Health Solutions to hire a Vice President of Sales & Account Management.

Serving as a member of the health plan’s senior leadership team, the VP of Sales & Account Management will shape the health plan’s vision for growth. This includes building and mentoring high-performing sales and account management teams, aligning strategies with broader organizational goals, and achieving sales and retention targets across a broad portfolio of health plan products and programs. The VP will also set growth targets, provide input into product/benefit designs and new market opportunities, provide pricing recommendations, oversee account implementations, develop customer engagement and retention strategies, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Location: Hybrid with a minimum of 2 days/week in-office in Madison, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and account management strategies that accelerate growth, increase customer satisfaction/retention, drive market share, and optimize financial performance.
  • Define sales objectives, performance metrics, and growth targets across the product portfolio; track and measure progress against those.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders (including Product, Marketing, Network, Actuarial, Health Services, and Operations/Customer Experience) and external stakeholders (including TPA, PBM, and stop loss partners) to achieve health plan’s growth, retention, and profitability goals.
  • Develop and grow relationships with key customers, including employers, agents, brokers, FMOs, and associations
  • Establish and manage value-added partnerships that enhance overall customer relationships (e.g., health clubs, on-site clinics, etc.).
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform health plan actions and priorities.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market expansion, product development, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify and leverage data and technology to achieve goals, improve performance, and minimize costs.
  • Assess business risks/opportunities and identify strategies to mitigate/capitalize as appropriate.
  • Coach and mentor the Sales & Account Management teams to ensure a strong culture and to foster innovation and accountability; implement incentive plans and programs to drive employee engagement and satisfaction

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a relevant field, or 10+ years of equivalent work/educational experience
  • 10+ years of health plan experience; 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing/leading health plan sales and account management functions
  • Must have Wisconsin Health and Life Insurance license or obtain it within 60 days of hire
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and government products/programs and related customer segments; experience selling Medicare 
  • Supplement, ASO/self-funded, level-funded and stop loss products strongly preferred
  • In depth understanding of relevant federal and state regulations and requirements
  • Working knowledge of the challenges facing health plans and the broader healthcare industry
  • Exceptional leadership skills, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem solving, and data driven decision-making capabilities to achieve health plan goals.

Salary Range: $240,000 - $275,000 + short-term incentive plan bonus
