Job Description
The QTI Group is seeking a Quality Manager to join the team of a locally owned metal fabrication shop. This DIRECT HIRE position offers a competitive wage, excellent benefits package, a 4-day workweek, and an annual bonus incentive. In this role, you will lead the Quality Management System, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015)
- Serve as the primary customer contact for quality-related matters and ensure overall satisfaction
- Oversee quality planning for new product introductions (APQP) and engineering changes (ECN)
- Develop and manage PPAP and First Article Inspection (FAIR) documentation
- Implement process controls, mistake-proofing methods, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead corrective action processes using structured problem-solving methods (8D)
- Manage inspection processes including first-piece, in-process, and final product audits
- Maintain calibration systems for measuring equipment and ensure compliance
- Conduct internal audits and support ongoing quality system compliance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in sheet metal strongly preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret customer specifications and blueprints
- Experience with precision measuring equipment and calibration systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality
