Job Description
The QTI Group is excited to partner with a Madison-area manufacturer to hire their next Technical Sales Support Manager. This role will lead all technical support and customer service activities for both commercial and residential clients, serving as a key and trusted resource for internal and external partners. This is a hands-on leadership role that will oversee technical sales and support, warranty coverages, and will oversee the on-site customer support and field service scheduling process.
Compensation: $140,000-150,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits package including 100% match of the first 6% you contribute to 401(k)!
Location: In person in the Madison area.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small technical support team supporting sales and customer service across residential and commercial channels
- Ensure technical accuracy of sales orders and support order configuration verification.
- Support marketing and sales programs, including after-sales warranty initiatives and customer engagement activities.
- Provide hands-on technical and applications support to internal teams, sales partners, and customers
- Oversee daily sales support operations, including order entry, CRM/ERP activity, and customer service case management
- Train and coach staff and channel partners on product applications, pricing tools, and technical best practices
- Manage customer escalations, RMAs, warranty claims, and root cause resolution processes
- Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, and technical training events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or related field
- Strong experience in HVAC industry with previous design experience preferred
- Previous management experience in engineering or technical service environment
- Ability to understand and create technical documentation used by on-site contractors
