Job Description
Summary
This CNC Operator position supports manufacturing operations by producing precision parts using computer numerical control equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and interested in developing skills in machining and precision manufacturing. No prior CNC experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in manufacturing but the company is also looking for experienced CNC Machinists. All skill levels are welcomed!
- Pay: Ranges from $18.00-24.00/hr. depending on experience
- Hours:
- 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
- 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:15pm-10:45pm
- 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm-6:15am
- Overtime is available but not required
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills and lathes, defined as automated machines that produce precision parts from raw materials
- Manufacture parts according to specifications, blueprints, and production requirements, Inspect finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, defined as tools used to verify precise dimensions
- Document production information including job times, material usage, and production concern, Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication, Report equipment issues to maintenance personnel as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality, Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational training in machining or a related field preferred but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds occasionally and twenty-five pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
