Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mold Technician to join our manufacturing team in Dane, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for machine and mold setups, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mold changes, and supporting efficient production operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.


  • Pay: Starting $23/hour based on experience
  • $3,000 Sign-On Bonus


  • Hours: 1st Shift Monday through Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Overtime available

Responsibilities:


  • Perform machine startups, shutdowns, mold changes, insert changes, and color purges.
  • Set up and operate injection molding, compression molding, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machine and mold issues using established setup procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production molds, including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication.
  • Support shift operations to ensure efficient production and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate production records, quality inspection reports, and setup documentation.
  • Inspect products for quality and report defects or production concerns.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new employees as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.



Qualifications:


  • At least 1 year of experience as a Mold Technician or in a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mold setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Experience operating injection molding equipment is highly preferred.
  • Forklift experience and willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as JDE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
