Job Description
Summary:
The Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. This role ensures accurate color, alignment, and production output while meeting deadlines and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We have positions available on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift! Pay rate starts at $25/hour and can go up based on experience.
Hours:
First Shift hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm.
Second shift hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm.
Third shift hours: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up individual jobs on the press according to the job instructions and copy. Upon completion of setup, print the job maintaining maximum production and quality. Approve the job personally before running, then seek supervisor approval after the job starts running. In the event of ink jet inline seeks approval from quality control.
- Communicates essential information regarding incomplete setups, potential problems, and other information pertinent to the job at shift change. Fills out all daily production and quality paperwork.
- Works in a safe manner that is safe for all employees on the press
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- At least two years of prior experience operating a press, including working knowledge of 4 color, UV curing, plow-folds and ink jet
