Job Description

The QTI Group is excited to partner with a Madison-area manufacturer to hire a Senior Project Manager. We are looking for a seasoned project leader interested in going beyond managing tasks with a chance to shape how projects are delivered! Our client is growing and with that, they are looking to introduce PM fundamentals where they haven’t historically existed. This newly created role will help establish best practices while leading high-impact product development and operational initiatives in a manufacturing context. This is a hands-on, facilitation-driven role. (Note: this is not an IT PM.)

Compensation: $90,000+ depending on experience + excellent benefits package including 100% match of the first 6% you contribute to 401(k)!

Location: In person in the Madison area.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate concurrent projects, aligning individual efforts into broader programs tied to new product development and company growth.
  • Introduce project management discipline by defining and implementing scalable PM frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to functional leaders and project owners, helping them apply practical PM principles.
  • Maintain strong relationships with executives and department leaders to align priorities, manage tradeoffs, and drive project momentum.
  • Support teams with business case analysis, financial justification, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Identify and manage risks, helping to identify risks early, advise project sponsors on options, and help teams effectively navigate change.
  • Champion continuous improvement and establish PM practices that can evolve as the company grows.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years’ of project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment leading product development, engineering, or operations projects.
  • Expertise in PM tools and techniques with track record of introducing PM practices.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
